Just When I thought Were Were Getting Somwhere...

she pees on the floor. Yes, my 3.5 year old daughter, Samaya, in her attempt to defy her mother's instruction because she woke up on the wrong side of the bed, peed on the bathroom rug.

Was she rushing to the potty and just didn't make it? NO!

Did she have trouble getting her pants down? NO! (She wasn't wearing any!)

Did she at least TRY to make it to the potty? NO!

She intentionally stood NEXT to the potty and peed. I looked at her, looked at the floor, and then looked at her again. And then I commenced the discipline. Needless to say, for the rest of the morning, she did what I requested. She still whined and cried a little, but I over-looked that because I knew she was tired. All that mattered was that she was obedient. Now, if I instructed her to stop whining, that would have been a completely different story.

I am sure all of us have had interesting things happend to us because of our lovely children. What is your story? How would you have reacted if you were in my position with this situation?

Let me hear what you have to say!
